ALPHA DAWG ROOKIE FLAG FOOTBALL

Alpha Dawg Rookie Flag Football is an introductory, developmental program created to introduce young athletes to the game of flag football in a fun, positive, and structured environment. Held indoors at the North Olmsted Recreation Field House, the program runs from January through March, offering eight weeks of instruction and gameplay in a comfortable, weather-proof setting.
Designed for children in Pre-K (who will be entering Kindergarten in the 2026–27 school year) and Kindergarten, the league follows NFL FLAG rules and uses a coed, 5-on-5 format tailored to beginners. The season includes two preseason practices followed by six weeks of combined practice and scrimmage-style gameplay. All players participate in a joint practice model led by a Head Coach and staff, focusing on building confidence, learning fundamentals, and fostering teamwork in a supportive environment.

We welcome participants from all communities, regardless of residency.

• Registration Deadline: January 5th, 2026.

• Season Begins: January 21st, 2026.

• Season Ends: March 11th, 2026.

• Cleveland Browns Youth Football and NFL FLAG organization.

• Fee includes NFL FLAG jerseys and belts (players keep).

All games and practices will be on Wednesdays 6-7pm.

Coaches: We’re looking for volunteers to join our coaching staff! All candidates will be reviewed and approved by Alpha Dawg leadership. A Head Coach will be appointed, and they may either select their Assistant Coaches or have them appointed. All coaches are required to complete Concussion Certification.
