PROGRAM CANCELLATION:

The Olmsted Community Center reserves the right to cancel any activity, program or event based on insufficient registrations, supervision or facilities.  All activities, programs or events will either be rescheduled or fees refunded.  

All classes have a minimum number of participants in order to be conducted.  If a class minimum is not met by the deadline date, an activity might be canceled.  Please register at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the activity.

 

REFUND POLICY:  

Registration fees are non-refundable, the only exceptions are:

  • If a program is canceled by Olmsted Community Center due to insufficient registrations, supervision or facility.
  • If the registrant must withdraw for medical reasons.  A doctor's note will be required.  All medical refunds will be prorated to deduct a $5.00 processing fee.  Refunds by check can take anywhere between 4 - 6 weeks.

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

If you are a first time user you will need to create your own account by clicking on the register button.  After you have registered your household you will be able to go and select what program you want to participate in.  Please feel free to contact us for technical support or any other question you have about the online registration.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY:
During inclement weather Olmsted Community Center and its programs/classes will maintain normal operating hours unless directed otherwise by management and as long as instructors and staff are available.  Generally, if Olmsted Falls Community Schools are CLOSED due to weather, Olmsted Community Center will CLOSE also.  If a decision is made to cancel programs / classes or to close the office we will post it on the OCC Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/olmstedcommunitycenter) and on the OCC's website as soon as possible.  Although we strive to give early notice of cancellations, various circumstances could affect our ability to notify the public in a timely manner.  We only provide updates when cancellations have been made.

         Our Commitment To Privacy

    Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. 

      The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted to the Olmsted Community Center for use by our online class/program registration program, RecDesk. On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register for classes or programs. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

    Name, Family Member's Names, Address, Email address, Phone number, Medical Concerns & Credit/Debit Card Information , (etc.)

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, an emergency contact if you are not available to be reached. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are:

           Name, Address, Phone Number, (etc.)

       The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself or your family members when registering for a class, camp, or program only to complete that registration. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to outside organization directors who have partnered with OCC to recreation administration of their camp, class, or program.

We use the information you provide about someone else when declaring an emergency contact only for OCC program directors & instructors and share this information only to organization directors who are running a camp, class, or program outside of the OCC building.  This information is shared to the extent necessary to provide information to be used in an emergency.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our email blasts about updates on any new programs and services. 

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

      Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

      Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect information on our website from those we actually know are under 18, and require all registrations to be processed by an adult.

      How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You can access or correct all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain at any time by logging in to your family account using a password you created. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

PHOTO POLICY:   

 

         Photograph, Camera and Video Policies 
We are always looking for photographs taken at Olmsted Community Center or have OCC Staff take some of events, classes or programs. If you have any pictures that could be used in our publications, contact Donna Winter at (440) 427-1599. Be advised that the Olmsted Community Centert uses brochures, flyers, our website and Facebook page to advertise our programs and events. We reserve the right to use photographs, video recordings and/or images of anyone in any activity, program, special event or public place in present and/or future publications to promote Olmsted Community Center and it's programs. Participants of any Olmsted Community Center program may record and/or take photographs of program activities that are open for observation as long as it does not interfere with the instructor and participants, cause a safety concern, or infringe upon copyright laws. The individual(s) taping or taking photos of participants or programs must have an association with a registered participant or program. You may be asked, by a staff member, to show all photos taken within the facility and to delete the images if they infringe upon the privacy of the participants or staff,  or are determined to be inappropriate and/or unacceptable. Thank you for helping us protect our patrons’ privacy, health and safety. All other individuals wanting to take photos or tape events must have prior approval from Olmsted Community Center staff. We reserve the right to refuse anyone the privilege of taping or photographing events.

 

The Olmsted Community Center reserves the right to take photos of participants enrolled in programs or those attending an OCC event.  These photos are to be used strictly by Olmsted Community Center for the purpose of advertising in future brochures, catalogs, pamphlets, fliers and on the OCC webpage or Facebook page.  At no time will participants be identified by name with their photo.

         Cell Phone & Camera Phone Policy 
Cell phone use is strictly prohibited in the restrooms.  Camera cell phone usage is prohibited in restrooms. You will be asked by a staff member to show all photos taken within the facility and to delete the images if they infringe upon the privacy of the participants or staff, are determined to be inappropriate and/or unacceptable.
