THIS CVBA LEAGUE IS FOR KIDS THAT HAVE BEEN EVALUATED AND MADE THE TEAM. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY A LEAGUE DIRECTOR TO REGISTER.
OLMSTED TRAVEL BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
OTBA is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for players to participate in a more competitive level of baseball than what a community recreation program offers. OTBA has teams in various age groups for youths within the Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Township community and is designed to participate in competitive travel baseball leagues. While the program promotes a high level of baseball, the intent is to create a positive experience for both players and parents.
CVBA is for players aged 10 through 14 currently possessing the highest degree of baseball development. These players are identified through a player evaluation process. The time commitment necessary is higher than that required for Hot Stove or Rec. Teams will play games throughout northeast Ohio. CVBA is not an instructional league. Players should possess a strong knowledge of baseball rules and whose skills allow them to play at a very highly competitive level. Teams typically practice during the winter months. A typical season consists of 18 – 24 regular season games, a year-end league tournament, and up to 15 outside tournament games. CVBA teams participate in fundraising. Practice begins in January, games begin in late April and continue through mid-July. All teams follow the rules set forth by the CVBA organization.
Early-bird registration opens September 15th and runs through November 8th. Regular registration is open through December 7th.
The 2026 fees for CVBA/OPL are $360 early-bird and $385 for regular. The registration fee includes all costs except uniforms (League fees, umpires, indoor practices, insurance, and field maintenance).
Further updates will be posted on OTBA social media pages and also at our website www.olmstedtravelbaseball.com.
