CHEER SQUAD 5TH

5th Grade

Who is eligible?

5th grade students during the 2025-2026 school year within the Olmsted Falls City School district.

Returning cheerleaders from the previous year will be offered spots first. We will accept additional cheerleaders until each squad is full.

The cheer program typically fills up each year. In 2024, the youth cheer program grew by 50%. We strive to include as many youth cheerleaders as possible. Please sign up on the waitlist if open spots are not available.

Where and when will practices be held?

Practices will be every Monday & Wednesday from 4pm-6pm beginning Monday, August 4th and ending mid October.

Practices will be held outside at the Olmsted Falls Middle School in the grassy area just beyond the parking lot.

Please note practices may become shorter towards the end of the season and will be cancelled due to bad weather.

Where and when will games be cheered?

All games will be played on Saturdays. The first game day will be 8/23/25 and games will be played Labor Day Weekend. Games end mid October.

Games may be scheduled between 8am to 7pm. Evening games played under the light at varsity stadiums may start as late as 7pm.

Several different cities host games: Avon, Avon Lake, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, Olmsted Falls and Westlake.


Uniforms

The uniform shell (top), skirt, briefs, bow, and poms are provided. In the registration, please provide your child’s estimated top and bottom size. Your child will most likely grow by the start of the season, so please size up accordingly. Your size request is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to fit all cheerleaders appropriately based on our inventory. Uniforms must be returned at the end of season.

Cheer Jackets & Socks may be purchased at Ryco. Please stop into Ryco between June 1 and no later than June 15th to place your order. The cheer program will cover a portion of the jacket cost for 1st year participants. Cheer jackets and socks should be kept for future years.

Events

The cheer squads will be invited to events during the season including picture day, team dinner and end of season banquet.
